Nidacon SpermAssist
SpermAssist™ is a sterile isotonic salt solution. It is optimised for extending semen or the sperm pellet recovered from PureSperm® density gradient, PureSperm® Unilayer or a ReadySwim™ swim-up preparation, for use in intra-uterine insemination or as a sperm maintenance medium.
To re-suspend sperm for intrauterine insemination
SpermAssist™ is a HEPES-buffered salt solution which has been formulated specifically to resuspend sperm for intra-uterine insemination. The ionic balance in SpermAssist™ has been designed to meet the requirements of the sperm while avoiding premature hyperactivation.
Sperm survival and fertilizing capacity, and therefore also pregnancy rates, can be improved by avoiding media which cause premature hyperactivation.
SpermAssist™ does not contain any coloring agents or preservatives, which can be toxic to sperm.
